I have a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and Spirituality. My aim in therapy is to help individuals reach out into the strongest versions of themselves. I’m committed to help you gain a better understanding of your psychological functioning.
I strongly believe in the power of consciousness, which as a symbol of our awareness, enhances our capacity to change and transform our relatedness with our self and the environment.
In therapy, I mainly use elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Jungian Psychology for two main reasons.
· I- CBT is fast becoming the major orientation of practicing psychologists, partly because of its common-sense and clear principles, its current empirical investigation, and the fact that it has an impressive scientific supported research base. CBT rests on the idea that thoughts and perceptions influence behavior.
II- Jungian Psychology allows me not only to explore in depth the client’s pathology and presenting problems, but also to find meaning and effective solutions in the client’s inner resources and strengths, his support systems, spirituality, and over all, the client’s willingness to heal, change things and move on with their lives.
Jungian Psychology also offers me a frame to guide the client for him/her to balance his/her perception about the nature of his/her problem, this includes considering both the nature of the problem and the nature of the person outside the problem.
I am a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and a professional member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I am committed to establish a self-to-self connection with you and bring alive that person who you want to become.

Defining alchemy is not an easy task. I have chosen this word because I see the therapy session as a space for psychological transformation and healing. Please, don’t be caught yourself in the narrowed Western mind perspective that perceive alchemy as something from the past, mystical and useless. Traditionally, alchemy has been perceived as a sacred science that dealt with the transformation of lead into gold. However, this was all symbolism, the real gold sought by the alchemists was in fact a search for an authentic and meaningful life, what in Jungian terms is referred to as the Individuated Self.
Within our work together, the sessions will always be a safe space for you to explore and discuss any presenting problem you might be dealing with. I will help you to understand how key concepts in Jungian psychology such as Ego, Self, and the Unconscious play a defining role in your psychological behavior, and how these concepts relate to you as an individual seeking psyche transformation and healing.
While books can be helpful, there is no substitute for experience. I know the dark sides of life by empiric, not only by academic readings. I am here to help you to relate to your Individuated Self, and help you reach awareness of your own capacity to change. I want you to experience an authentic healing journey, a journey that will help you come to terms with the underlying psychological issue you may be facing.
Since alchemy is always about making something less into something great, I want you to experience our sessions as a path of self discover which will lead you to transform emotional pain into insight and clarity.

Why Do I need counselling?
If you notice that you are feeling overwhelmed, stressed or frustrated with certain areas of your life counselling may be a good decision for you. Counselling will offer you a better understanding of your presenting problems. Also, through counselling you will gain the capacity to replace unhealthy patterns of your life with more healthy and adaptive behaviours.
What can I expect when I start counselling?
Once you send an email or telephoned our office, I will reach out to you to set up an appointment. During that first session we will spend some time going over specific questions such as: your expectations of therapy, discuss limits of confidentiality, your presenting problems and other details. We will then book a following session and we will begin to start working on the problem together. In a professional, friendly, and compassionate manner we will work collaboratively towards your goals.
How can I open to a stranger with details of my personal life?
I believe that an authentic relationship between the therapist and client is an essential part of the therapeutic process. Therapy is led by the client and therefore not restricted by the boundaries of a particular therapeutic modality. Most importantly, the goal is to develop a client’s self-esteem and foster resilience, which in turn improves physical and mental wellbeing. As a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), Alchemy Mind Counselling follows strict ethical guidelines in practice.
Is counselling covered under my health benefits?
At Alchemy Mind Counselling the services are reimbursable by most third-party health care benefits companies. However, it is important that you check with your employee or third-party provider’s policy to verify. Often, a referral from your doctor for psychological services is required first. Simply visit a doctor and explain that you would like a referral for “counselling and/or psychological services”. If your health care benefits provider requires this referral, you will need to submit it with your first receipt. We offer a sliding scale for clients with financial strains and may be able to adjust your hourly fee.
